TAMINO, a sculpture by Alvin Sandler
This procession of photographs reveals changing
aspects of this unified work. To see an enlargement

Tamino is conceived in the round and may be viewed
with enjoyment from many perspectives. Note how the
forms of the garment define the movement of the breeze
and of the figure. From the feet, through the legs, through
the torso, the shoulders, arms, hands and noble head, a
continuous and lively gesture vivifies and unites the whole.
Tamino is at present a model of fiberglass and resin
which looks like bronze. It will upon commission be cast
in bronze, by the time - honored
"lost wax" method.
