WINDOW BOX, Alvin Sandler (Sandor) © 2003
oil on canvas, 36"x26" $1,200
The adobe texture and the turquoise window frame say "Southwest", while
the thick patches of color, and geometric simplicity say "Cezanne".
In Alvin Sandler’s "Window Box", structure and color combine in a lively
and dramatic presentation of flowers to make an impressive centerpiece.
Flowers take an important place in Sandler’s more recent paintings, in
still-life, garden, and fantasy compositions. The study of flowers from
nature has enriched Sandler’s range, extending it to the delicate from the
solid. Through the study of nature, the artist continues to grow.
We would love to show you more paintings of flowers, but for the moment,
our website is not complete. We hope to offer them and all other categories
by Fall, 2008. Until then we hope that our partial offering affords you
pleasure, and the desire to visit Art Entrée in person, and/or to
revisit us online.
