The strong light of the rising sun can dissolve the
solidity of a canyon wall. This monotype shares
with the viewer the experience of a sunrise at
the Grand Canyon, evoking even the silence of
this immense vista. It is also a very satisfying
abstract image, with a perfectly placed rainbow
of warm color dominating the quietly shifting
cools of the background.
